We are Standing Together for a Stronger Community.

At the heart of Kokomo and Howard County lies a thriving community of nonprofit and faith leaders united in their commitment to making a positive impact. We are pleased to introduce you to the Kokomo and Howard County Nonprofit Council and Faith Leader Council, a dynamic coalition dedicated to fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and collectively addressing the needs of our region.

Invitation to Attend

These meetings are open to any nonprofit organizations or faith leaders within the region. We invite you to RSVP for our meetings so that we can prepare enough coffee and materials. Additionally, we encourage you to invite others you know in regional organizations to join us on this journey.

Together, we are making a difference, one meeting at a time, for the betterment of Kokomo and Howard County. Join us in building a stronger, more vibrant community.


Who We Are

The Kokomo and Howard County Nonprofit Council and Faith Leader Council is a unique coalition comprising of more than 200 organizations within two essential groups: nonprofits and faith leaders. While technically separated in name to accommodate specific initiatives, we meet as one cohesive coalition with a shared commitment to building a stronger community.

  • Nonprofit Organizations: Comprising of diverse nonprofit leaders, this group comes together to explore opportunities for collaboration, professional development, and addressing community challenges.

  • Faith Leaders: Comprising pastors, church leaders, and other faith-based ministries, this group is dedicated to the spiritual and community well-being of Kokomo and Howard County. They bring their wisdom and influence to the table, contributing to the holistic growth of our region.

Our Mission: 

Founded in 2022 and facilitated at the Kokomo Thriving Center, a regional education center of Indiana Wesleyan University National and Global, our mission is to engage in collaborative efforts to effect positive change on issues that impact our region. We are committed to strengthening the social fabric of our community, recognizing the interconnectedness of all its components. By uniting our efforts, we aim to fortify and enhance this fabric, fostering a more resilient and prosperous community for all residents.
